Solvent and bitumen-free, universal, extremely flexible waterproofing based on SMP (Silyl Modified Polymers) technology. Suitable for a wide range of applications: concrete, wood, metal, sanded roofing felt, Styrofoam®, various plastics, etc. The product is not sensitive to moisture during curing and is even suitable for sealing exterior basement walls.
Characteristics
MEM WATER STOP is a universal seal for a wide range of areas, e.g. Roof, wall, wet cells and even for sealing the outer wall of the basement (based on DIN 18195).
MEM WATER STOP is suitable for surfaces such as B. concrete, wood, stone, metal, sanded roofing felt, polystyrene and many plastics.
Not suitable for bitumen, PE and PP.
MEM WATER STOP achieves crack bridging of at least 10mm, is UV-resistant and not sensitive to spray and rainwater (even during curing).
MEM WATER STOP in the cartridge is the ideal complement to the paintable version in the joint area for roofs, walls, basement walls and much more.
mode of action
MEM WATER STO is a product free of solvents, iscoyanate and bitumen based on SMP technology (Silyl Modified Polymers)
underground and processing
The subsurface must be solid, stable and level as well as free from oil, grease, dust and other separating layers.
The substrate may be slightly damp when using MEM WATER STOP, but not wet with a visible film.
MEM WATER STOP is applied in two layers without a primer using a brush or a short-pile velor roller.
The second coat can be applied at 20°C after approx. 6 hours (stable skin formation).
In corner areas or where there is particular stress, a reinforcement fabric such as e.g. B. MEM PANZER-VLIE Beworked.
If a tile covering is to be applied, the second, fresh layer must be spread over the entire surface with quartz sand (grain size 0.1-0.5 mm; approx. 2 kg/m²) in order to achieve optimum adhesion. The excess must be swept away after 24 hours.
The tiles should be applied with a flexible tile adhesive such as MEM FLEX ADHESIVE.
After approx. 24 hours (at 20°C) the coated surface can be fully loaded and can to be processed further.
Note for 1kg: The film protects the product from hardening. This must be pierced before processing.

Hints:
MEM WATER STOP is compatible with paint, but you should carry out your own tests due to the large number of possible paints.
Consume opened containers as soon as possible.
Storage :
MEM WATER STOP can be kept for approx. 24 months in the sealed original container and stored properly at a storage temperature of 5°C to 25°C.
The ideal product temperature is 15°C to 20°C. Therefore, in colder temperatures the product should be stored at room temperature for approx. 2 hours before processing.
Note: Skin formation is to be expected at higher temperatures.
